In our own shop, we realized there wasn’t a software designed specifically to address the production management and machine monitoring needs of production CNC machine shops. Born out of our own necessity, we created OnTakt to leverage data to increase productivity and profitability. What began as a machine monitoring software evolved into a complete production management solution.

At its founding in 2011, Wolfram started as an extremely versatile machine shop specializing in medium to high-volume production of metal parts. Wolfram focused on using the best technology available in manufacturing, achieving world-class utilization levels while appealing to the next generation of machinists and engineers. Still operating a full production shop, Wolfram Manufacturing Technologies expanded to offer OnTakt, the CNC production management software they created to oversee their production, as well as the full suite of Caron Engineering products, including TMAC, to help other machine shops reach the next level. With a mission to bring world-class manufacturing to us, Wolfram Manufacturing Technologies is committed to sharing its learnings in innovation, productivity, and utilization.
Lean Manufacturing
Wolfram Manufacturing specializes in single-piece workflow and lean manufacturing concepts, eliminating many steps in traditional multi-setup machining. This results in increased efficiency, better lead times, minimized waste, and more value for our machining customers. We deliver exceptional quality, quickly on small to medium production runs of parts with complex geometries, tight tolerances, and deep hole drilling. Typical sizes range from salt shakers to fire hydrants, with length capabilities up to 5 feet on a 3-inch or smaller diameter. Wolfram’s machine shop provides services for parts or products that need to be produced. While this service is primarily accomplished through precision metal machining and other associated processes, the highly skilled team at Wolfram has the capability to offer design, procurement, logistics, assembly, order management and fulfillment, and anything else a client would need to bring their product to market.
